Internship Title: Social Media & Events Intern
Organization: Playa Vista Parks & Landscape Corporation (PVPAL)
Location: On-site in Playa Vista
Schedule: Part-time -
Hours: 20 hours per week
Eligibility: Incoming 2026 Junior or Senior - Duration: Summer 2026 (12 weeks)

The Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts Summer Internship Program is pleased to partner with Playa Vista Parks & Landscape Corporation (PVPAL) to offer a hands-on opportunity for a student interested in communications, marketing, and event promotion.
PVPAL is seeking one motivated and creative intern to support the promotion of community events and initiatives. This role is ideal for a student who enjoys storytelling through digital platforms and wants to gain practical experience in event marketing and on-site media production.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with promoting events through social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, company website, etc.)
- Design digital flyers and marketing materials
- Capture photo and video content at live events
- Create short-form video content, including reels
- Support website updates and digital communications
- Contribute to event planning logistics and promotional strategy
- Job shadow the supervisor to learn about various operational and marketing functions within the organization
Preferred Qualifications
- Background or coursework in Communications, Marketing, Media Studies, or related fields
- Experience creating content for social media platforms
- Proficiency in Photoshop
- Familiarity with website design and digital tools
- Experience in recording and editing video content
- Knowledge of MotionFlix is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
This internship offers meaningful exposure to event marketing within a community-focused organization. The selected intern will gain real-world experience in digital content creation, brand messaging, and live event promotion while building a professional portfolio.
